Collaborative Draw and Explore Session: Medieval Labours of the Month
Children can take inspiration from the Illuminating the Year exhibition by author Amy Jeffs, and illustrators Hebe George, Lou Boulter and Polly Alizarin Harvey, to create their own image which celebrates a month in the medieval calendar year.
Text is the starting point to weave in aspects of nature and rural activity, highlighting the changes in each season by using a specific colour palette. This session will focus on developing drawing skills through observation and imagination.
This workshop is run by the artists from the exhibition and is aimed at 8 to 11-year-olds.
