February Half Term Family Fun at Dean Heritage CentreFamilies are invited to enjoy a week of hands-on activities and outdoor exploration this February Half Term at the Dean Heritage Centre. Set in the heart of the Forest of Dean, the Centre is packed with seasonal fun inspired by local heritage, wildlife and woodland stories.

Visitors can look forward to a varied programme designed to entertain and inspire children of all ages, combining creativity, discovery and outdoor play.

What’s On

Family Workshops & Activities

Drop-in craft sessions run Monday to Friday, giving children the chance to create nature-inspired makes to take home. The activity programme also includes guided woodland walks, badge making and pyrography.
Explorer Trails
Families can pick up a themed activity trail sheet and set off through the museum and woodland paths. Clues along the way lead to a prize at the finish.
Outdoor Play & Woodland Wildlife

Children can burn off energy in the adventure play area before exploring the woodland pathways along the popular Gruffalo Trail.
Get Creative in the Craft Hut

The craft hut is open daily with self-led craft stations available from 10:00–16:00.
Facilitator-led activities and workshops run Monday to Friday and are included in General Admission.
