Ukrainian National Opera Presents: Carmen brings passion, jealousy and drama to Cheltenham with a powerful performance by the Dnipro Opera from Ukraine.
Sung in French with English surtitles and accompanied by a live orchestra of over 30 musicians, Carmen is Bizet’s most popular opera, set in the heat and intensity of 19th-century Seville. The story follows the tragic downfall of Don José, whose obsessive love for the seductive and free-spirited Carmen leads to betrayal, violence and heartbreak.
Featuring some of opera’s most recognisable music, including the iconic Toreador Song, this vibrant and emotionally charged production promises a thrilling night at the theatre.
