The Spy Who Came In From The Cold at the Everyman Theatre
Tuesday 14 - Saturday 18 April 2026
The iconic Cold War thriller comes to the stage in a tense, gripping production at the Everyman Theatre, offering a standout night at the theatre and one of the most compelling things to do in Cheltenham.
Based on the celebrated novel by John le Carré, the story follows weary British intelligence officer Alec Leamas as he accepts one final mission that plunges him back into a world of espionage, deception and moral compromise. As loyalties blur and danger closes in, the shadowy presence of George Smiley raises unsettling questions about who can truly be trusted.
Following a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre and direct from the West End, this acclaimed production is written by David Eldridge and directed by Jeremy Herrin, and runs in Cheltenham for one week only.
