Tuesday 2 – Saturday 6 June 2026
The Beekeeper of Aleppo is adapted from the international bestselling novel by Christy Lefteri, presented by Martin Dodd for UK Productions Ltd in association with Nottingham Playhouse.
Adapted for the stage by Nesrin Alrefaai and Matthew Spangler, the production follows Nuri, a beekeeper, and his wife Afra, an artist, whose peaceful life in the Syrian city of Aleppo is shattered by war.
Forced to flee their home, Nuri and Afra embark on a dangerous journey, confronting loss, displacement and the struggle to reconnect with each other amid extraordinary hardship.
This compassionate stage adaptation explores themes of survival, human connection and hope, brought to life through a powerful touring production first premiered at Nottingham Playhouse.
