Cheltenham Lido Tri Festival 2026

The Cheltenham Tri Festival 2026 takes place at Cheltenham Lido, welcoming competitors of all abilities from complete novices to experienced club and professional triathletes, as well as charity and fun entrants. Participants must be aged 17 or over to compete.

The swim takes place in the 50 metre outdoor pool at Cheltenham Lido, with the cycle and run routes heading anti-clockwise around Cheltenham and through Sandford Park, offering a scenic yet challenging course in the heart of Gloucestershire.

The event is managed in partnership by Cheltenham Lido Ltd (Registered charity 1052203) and Sue Ryder (Registered charity 1052076). Competitors wishing to raise or donate funds can support either charity as part of their participation.

Race Distances

  • Sprint: Swim 800m, Bike 18.2km, Run 4.7km
  • Super Sprint: Swim 400m, Bike 9.2km, Run 2.3km
  • Standard Distance: Swim 1.5km, Bike 44km, Run 9.5km

Team Relay option available

To participate, competitors are required to become a member of British Triathlon and hold a valid race licence. Athletes must either hold Core or Ultimate annual membership or purchase a single-use Race Pass for their race. Race Passes cost £2 for participants under 24 and £8 for those aged 24 and over.
