Cheltenham Lido Devils Aquathlon & Swim Challenge 2026 takes place at Cheltenham Lido, offering endurance athletes and keen swimmers the ultimate summer challenge in Gloucestershire.
The Devils Aquathlon 2026 is the ultimate swim–run test. Participants complete either a 1km or 2km swim in the 50 metre outdoor pool, followed by a 10km run to Devil’s Chimney on Leckhampton Hill and back to the lido. Open to anyone aged 18 and over, it is a demanding yet rewarding event for those seeking a serious personal goal.

The Aquathlon is an affiliated British Triathlon event. Competitors must hold a valid race licence, either through Core or Ultimate annual membership or by purchasing a single-use Race Pass. Race Passes cost £2 for participants under 24 and £8 for those aged 24 and over.
Cheltenham Lido Swim Challenge 2026 offers three distance options, making it ideal for first-time challengers and experienced swimmers alike.

2km Swim Challenge (40 lengths)
5km Swim Challenge (100 lengths)

Entry closes on Monday 28 September 2026 at midnight.
The event raises funds for Cheltenham Lido Ltd (Registered charity 1052203) and is designed for competitors aged 18 and above who enjoy a personal endurance challenge in Cheltenham.
