Mini Foresters at Batsford Arboretum

Tuesday 18 February & Friday 21 February 2026,

Owls Colourful Discovery is a bright, nature-packed woodland session from Mini Foresters, the forest school stay-and-play experience by Mini Mudders.

Designed for children aged 2–6, this all-outdoor adventure invites little explorers and their grown-ups to discover colour in the natural world through playful, hands-on activities. Sessions run in all weather, with a heated shelter available for colder days.

During Owls Colourful Discovery, children can:

  • Build cosy owl nests and explore what birds need to thrive
  • Make owl-eye binoculars for woodland spotting
  • Hunt for rainbow treasures in the forest
  • Experiment with coloured water and simple nature-based colour play
  • Create bird feeders while learning care for wildlife

Families meet the session leader at the top car park by the Mini Foresters sign, followed by a short walk to the forest school site. As this is a stay-and-play session, children remain the responsibility of their grown-ups throughout.

All staff are qualified group leaders, first aid trained, and DBS checked.
