Easter Themed Library Tour at Gloucester Cathedral

Gloucester Cathedral invites visitors to make their day extra special with a guided tour of the Cathedral’s beautiful, hidden 15th Century monastic library.
Reached by climbing a winding spiral staircase, this remarkable medieval library houses a wonderful collection of books and manuscripts dating back to the 11th century.
Visitors can explore the Easter story within the Bible collection and may even spot a few bunnies and chicks on this Easter-themed library tour.
The tour also reveals the glory of the historic music collection, where visitors can see the books the choir sang from, read the tales of musicians, and discover more about some of the “unsung” women represented in the musical collection.
Please note: Library Tours last around 60 minutes and involve climbing 38 spiral steps.
