The Last Laugh at the Everyman Theatre

Tuesday 14 - Saturday 18 July 2026

The Last Laugh arrives at Everyman Theatre Cheltenham for a brilliant night at the theatre this July, bringing one of the West End’s smash-hit comedies to Gloucestershire.

Set in a very unusual dressing room, The Last Laugh imagines three of Britain’s greatest comedy legends – Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse – in conversation about life, death and the true art of being funny. Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.

Lovingly written and directed by award-winning Paul Hendy, the production stars Damian Williams as Cooper, Simon Cartwright as Monkhouse and Steve Royle as Morecambe.

Warm, nostalgic and wonderfully poignant, The Last Laugh is a joyful celebration of classic British comedy – a perfect choice for anyone planning a night out in Cheltenham or looking for unforgettable things to do in Cheltenham this summer.
