Christmas Day Swim at Cheltenham Lido
Friday 25 December 2026
Start Christmas Day with a splash at Cheltenham Lido’s much-loved Christmas Day Swim. Join hundreds of festive swimmers as they brave the water and enjoy an atmosphere filled with cheers, laughter and Christmas spirit.
Whether continuing a family tradition, taking the plunge for fun or embracing a festive challenge, this popular community event offers a memorable way to begin Christmas morning.
This year’s swim is proudly sponsored by CPC (Complete Pool Controls), specialists in commercial swimming pool plant and water treatment systems, whose support helps make the event possible.
Swimmers wishing to support Cheltenham Lido can also set up a JustGiving page and raise funds alongside their festive dip.
Gates open at 10:45am, with the plunge at 11am. Swimmers are asked to swim no more than two widths.
