King Charles II Easter Living History at Berkeley Castle
Berkeley Castle welcomes visitors for an action-packed Easter weekend as King Charles II returns to the Castle grounds for a spectacular 17th century living history experience.
Known as the Merry Monarch, King Charles II arrives to review his soldiers as muskets fire and cavalry march through the Castle grounds. Visitors can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the era, with musicians playing and elegant dancing displays throughout the day.
Witness impressive infantry and cavalry parades, artillery displays, horse racing and lively period dancing, bringing a pivotal moment in English history vividly to life.
Families can also enjoy a variety of children’s activities, making this a fantastic Easter day out in Gloucestershire and a memorable way to explore the historic surroundings of Berkeley Castle.
