Celebrate Easter with a fun family day out at the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection in the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Young visitors are invited to take part in a seasonal Easter Egg Hunt while exploring one of the Cotswolds’ most fascinating museums.
The museum offers a nostalgic journey through the 20th century, showcasing beautifully restored vintage cars, classic motorcycles and a remarkable collection of motoring memorabilia that tells the story of Britain’s love affair with the motor car.
Alongside the vehicles, visitors can discover the everyday items that made motoring such a memorable part of family life. Displays include picnic sets from the 1920s, caravans, radio sets, gramophones and even knitted swimsuits from the era.
Throughout the museum, showcases are packed with unusual and entertaining artefacts. From early car alarms that filled vehicles with smoke to mechanical hands once used for indicating turns, every corner reveals another fascinating piece of motoring history.
The museum is also famously the home of Brum, the much-loved little car from the popular children’s television series. Combined with the Easter Egg Hunt, this charming museum experience makes a wonderful seasonal day out for families visiting the Cotswolds.
