Friday 10 April – Saturday 11 April 2026

Roman Soldier Re-enactment Day brings the fascinating world of the Roman army to life at Corinium Museum in Cirencester.

Join the renowned Ermine Street Guard for a day of living history and Roman military demonstrations. Visitors can watch impressive battle formations in the museum’s Hare Gallery while learning about a Roman soldier’s kit, daily life and weaponry.

Children can take part in an exciting Soldier School, while living history tables around the galleries offer the chance to meet Roman soldiers and discover more about life in the Roman army. Don’t forget to bring a camera for a memorable photo with a Roman soldier.
