LEGO – Brick History Exhibition at Berkeley Castle
Sunday 10 May - Wednesday 10 June 2026
Brick History at Berkeley Castle takes visitors on a fascinating journey through pivotal moments in world history, all modelled in LEGO® bricks by Warren Elsmore.
From key figures such as Mozart and Martin Luther King to scientific discoveries from the Big Bang to DNA, this imaginative exhibition brings history to life in a unique and engaging way. More recent moments, from mobile phones to the moon landings, also feature throughout the experience.
Set within the historic surroundings of Berkeley Castle, which has witnessed important moments in history itself, Brick History offers a fresh way to explore the past beyond the usual lists of kings and queens.
As visitors move through the Castle, they will discover five themed categories. The Arts celebrates creativity from cave paintings to pop art, while Conflict explores everything from natural disasters such as Pompeii to Viking invasions and the Boston Tea Party. Equality highlights the struggles of slaves and suffragettes, Exploration focuses on discoveries and inventions that changed the world, and Transport follows the story of travel from seafaring and railways to flight.
This creative and thought-provoking exhibition offers an inspiring day out for families, history lovers and anyone fascinated by the storytelling power of LEGO® bricks.
