Romeo and Juliet from The Duke’s Theatre Company offers a bold new take on one of Shakespeare’s most enduring tragedies.
Directed by Joseph Pitcher, whose acclaimed credits include Gypsy, My Fair Lady and Macbeth, this reimagining of Romeo and Juliet blends dynamic staging, evocative sound and the lasting power of Shakespeare’s verse.
Returning to the company following Macbeth in 2025, Joseph Pitcher brings fresh energy and emotional intensity to this timeless story of love, fate and conflict.
The production also features original music by composer Rob Millett, whose work includes collaborations with Rambert Dance Company, The Royal Opera House, The National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe.
With its striking atmosphere and powerful storytelling, Romeo and Juliet invites audiences to rediscover the passion, peril and youthful intensity at the heart of the world’s most famous star-crossed lovers.
