Medieval Re-enactment Day: The Company of Blood and Gold brings the sights, sounds and skills of the medieval period to Corinium Museum for a fascinating day of living history and hands-on discovery.

Included with normal museum admission, this special event welcomes The Company of Blood and Gold, who will transport visitors back to the 1300s and 1400s through authentic displays, demonstrations and interactive experiences. Throughout the day, visitors can discover the clothing, armour and everyday lives of knights, craftspeople and professionals from medieval England.

Explore the connections between archaeology, history and the natural world through a variety of engaging talks and demonstrations. Learn how flax and sheep's wool were transformed into fabrics, discover the ingredients and flavours used in medieval cooking, and find out how traditional medicine was practised centuries ago.

Visitors can also learn about stonemasonry, medieval board games and the equipment carried by a knight, while uncovering fascinating details about daily life during the Middle Ages. The re-enactors will share their knowledge through entertaining and informative displays designed to bring history vividly to life.
