The Big Batsford Butterfly Hunt!

The Big Batsford Butterfly Hunt returns to Batsford Arboretum this summer, inviting young explorers to discover the wonderful world of butterflies.
Running daily from 11 July to 2 September 2026, this family-friendly trail challenges children to find butterflies hidden throughout the arboretum while learning more about these beautiful and important pollinators.
Participants will receive a trail map from the Admissions Desk to guide them on their adventure through the arboretum's stunning grounds. Along the way, they will uncover fascinating butterfly facts and enjoy exploring one of Gloucestershire's most beautiful outdoor attractions.
Children who complete the trail will receive a small prize at the end of their journey.
The trail costs £3 per participating child in addition to normal arboretum admission.
With plenty to discover along the way, The Big Batsford Butterfly Hunt is a fantastic family activity to enjoy during the summer holidays.
