Summer Holiday Activities at Nature in Art
Children can enjoy six weeks of creative summer holiday fun at Nature in Art at Wallsworth Hall near Gloucester. These popular art and craft activities take place in the Education Centre and gardens, offering a fantastic opportunity for young visitors to get creative, explore nature and learn new skills.
Suitable for children aged 3+, all materials are provided. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Morning sessions run from 10am to 11.30am and afternoon sessions from 1pm to 2.30pm unless otherwise stated.
Tuesday 21 July
Yoga and Cave Paintings
Children will enjoy fun yoga games in the garden before creating cave-inspired paintings using a variety of paints and techniques.
Wednesday 22 July
Treasure Map and Treasure Chest
Young pirates can create their own treasure map and matching treasure chest in this imaginative craft session.
Friday 24 July
Nature Wet Felt
Morning Session Only
Using colourful wool fibres, children will create beautiful wet felt artwork inspired by nature.
Tuesday 28 July
Yoga and Monet's Waterlilies
Yoga games and movement are followed by the creation of Monet-inspired waterlily artwork using wax resist watercolour techniques.
Wednesday 29 July
Clay Rocket Launcher
Children will make a clay rocket and create colourful space-themed artwork using drawing and watercolour techniques.
Thursday 30 July
Recycled Magazine Leaves
A creative eco-friendly session using recycled magazines to produce decorative leaf artwork.
Friday 31 July
Watercolouring Tips and Tricks
Children will discover a variety of watercolour techniques, from basic skills to fun experimental effects.
Advance booking is recommended as places are limited.
