Step into a magical world of storytelling, adventure and discovery this summer with The Watchers of Woodchester Mansion, a unique family theatre experience at Woodchester Mansion created in partnership with Rusticus.
Running every Thursday throughout August, this interactive outdoor adventure invites families to explore the Mansion's beautiful grounds alongside a curious Professor and their mysterious Assistant. Along the way you'll meet magical woodland characters, uncover hidden stories and discover the fascinating creatures carved into the Mansion's remarkable Gothic stonework.
Children can enjoy a variety of hands-on activities including creating clay faces with the Green Man, learning about butterflies, taking part in bat-themed echolocation games and discovering the history of the Mansion through imaginative storytelling and play.
The adventure finishes inside Woodchester Mansion, where families can uncover the final chapter of the story before exploring the unfinished Gothic masterpiece at their own pace. Visitors can also relax with refreshments in Henry's Café or enjoy the nearby National Trust play trail.
Suitable for children of all ages, this magical experience combines outdoor theatre, heritage, creativity and nature to create a memorable family day out in Gloucestershire.
