Enjoy a calmer and more relaxed version of Sleeping Beauty with this sensory-friendly pantomime performance at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury.
Join Princess Aurora on a spellbinding adventure after she pricks her finger and sends the whole kingdom into an enchanted sleep. Featuring laughter, magic, dazzling costumes and show-stopping songs, this enchanting family pantomime has been specially adapted to create a more comfortable theatre experience.
Before the performance begins, the actors will introduce themselves on stage and remove any masks or costume pieces that may feel unfamiliar.
Loud or sudden noises and special effects have been removed, while the overall sound level will be lower than during a standard performance. The house lights will remain on at a low level throughout, and audience members are welcome to move around the auditorium when needed.
The actors will not enter the audience at any point during the performance. A quiet breakout room will also be available for anyone who needs some time away from the auditorium.
The production is directed by Olivier Award winner Derek Bond, winner of Best Family Show in 2024.
