The Ready-Set-Sing Family Trail at Gloucester Cathedral

Families can explore the magnificent surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral on a brand-new interactive trail running from Wednesday 5 August to Sunday 1 November 2026.
The trail follows Clara, a fictional young chorister, as she prepares for her first day in the Cathedral Choir. Along the way, visitors can solve challenges, explore the Cathedral’s beautiful spaces and discover what Clara needs to know before her big day.
Activities include warming up the voice like a real chorister, discovering the Cathedral’s impressive musical instruments, trying on authentic choir robes and learning fascinating facts about life in the Cathedral Choir through hands-on activities.
Combining exploration, learning and play, the trail offers an entertaining way for families of all ages to discover more about the Cathedral and its musical traditions.
The trail is available during normal visitor opening hours. Trail sheets cost £1.50 and can be collected from the Welcome Desk on arrival.
