‘Looking Deep into Nature’ Exhibition at Nature in Art

Looking Deep into Nature at Nature in Art celebrates the life and work of remarkable artist Peter Partington SWLA (1941–2025), whose lifelong love of the natural world inspired his paintings, prints, sculpture and collage.
Featuring Peter Partington’s studio alongside a selection of his two and three-dimensional works, the exhibition explores the life of an artist who brought birds, animals and landscapes vividly to life and inspired others through his generosity and passion for nature.
The exhibition is accompanied by the new book Peter Partington: The Artist’s Anthology, written by his son Jerome Partington. The book will be available from the gallery shop, raising funds for an SWLA nature art school programme, Nature in Art and conservation charities.
A special launch and private view takes place on 29 September from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Attendance is free but advance booking is required.
