Discover one of Gloucester Cathedral’s hidden treasures with a fascinating guided tour of its beautiful medieval library.
Reached via a winding spiral staircase, the 15th-century library houses an impressive collection of books and manuscripts, with some dating back to the 11th century. Visitors can see a selection of treasures from the medieval period, from historic texts to beautifully illuminated charters, offering a glimpse into some of the Cathedral’s earliest recorded history.
The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and provides a rare opportunity to explore an area of the Cathedral not normally accessible to visitors.
