Pumpkin Picking at Primrose Vale

Saturday 10 - 11 October 2026

Primrose Vale invites families to enjoy pick your own pumpkins in Gloucestershire this October, with plenty of pumpkins waiting to be picked from the dedicated PYO fields.

This ticketed autumn event is a great way for families to choose the perfect pumpkin ready for Halloween, with admission including a pumpkin worth up to £3.50.

Pumpkin picking is available on selected weekends throughout October and during half term, subject to pumpkin availability.

Pumpkin picking dates:

  • 3 & 4 October 2026
  • 10 & 11 October 2026
  • 17 & 18 October 2026
  • 24 – 27 October 2026 – half term, subject to availability

Important information:

  • No dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the trail or in the pumpkin fields.
  • Children: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Footwear: Sturdy footwear is recommended as the fields can be muddy. Gloves are also advisable when handling vines and avoiding prickles and nettles.
  • Halloween Trail: The Halloween Trail starts at the farm shop and is a separate ticketed event. Visitors wishing to enjoy both activities should book tickets for each. Pumpkin picking typically takes around one hour, while the Halloween Trail can take between 45 minutes and two hours.

Primrose Vale is located just off the A46 Shurdington Road, around 50 yards from the A417/A46 junction towards Cheltenham. The farm is conveniently located near M5 junction 11A, approximately 4.5 miles from Gloucester and 3.5 miles from Cheltenham.
