in the dark - HUSH at Tewkesbury Abbey
Saturday 12 December 2026
HUSH by in the dark brings an extraordinary immersive live music experience to Tewkesbury Abbey, placing the audience at the very centre of the performance.
With 30 live performers, no stage and no amplification, the experience begins when the audience puts on eye masks and the usual boundaries between performers and listeners disappear. Musicians and vocalists move through and around the audience, creating an immersive world of sound where no two seats experience the performance in quite the same way.
At the heart of HUSH is DarkSpatial™, in the dark's unique approach to live, unamplified sound and sonic choreography. The audience becomes the stage as music moves through the space, surrounding listeners from different directions.
HUSH invites audiences to leave the outside world behind, surrender their sight and experience a journey through darkness, stillness, movement and sound.
