Dursley Christmas Lights Switch-on

Friday 28 November 2025

Join Festive Dursley for the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On on Friday 28 November 2025, from 4.30pm to 8.00pm in the Market Place. This much-loved event brings the community together for an evening of festive celebration, live entertainment, shopping, and family fun.
Event Schedule:
    •    4.30pm  Event opens with MC Boo Radclyffe welcoming everyone
    •    4.45pm – 4.55pm  Performance by Amy Addle’s Dancers
    •    5.00pm – 5.50pm | Live music from Rhythm Sisters Duo
    •    5.55pm - Join the Mayor in the countdown to the lights switch-on
    •    6.00pm - Lights switched on, followed by a spectacular Firework Display in the Link Area (between Gravity and Bennett Jones)
    •    6.15pm – 6.45pm - Performance by Dursley Rock and Pop Choir
    •    6.45pm – 7.45pm - Live music from Cat Amongst the Pigeons

Around the Town:
    •    Late Night Shopping.  Explore shops in Parsonage Street, Silver Street, and Long Street to find the perfect Christmas gifts and support local businesses
    •    Under the Town Hall & Parsonage Street. Enjoy delicious food, drink, and market stalls
    •    Dentist Garden. Stroll through a magical winter garden complete with falling snow
    •    Small Castle Street Car Park. Experience funfair rides and hot food from 4.30pm
    •    Methodist Church. Visit Santa’s Grotto from 4.30pm, £3 per child including a gift (cash or card)
    •    St James’s Church Gree. Snap a festive photo in Santa’s Sleigh
    •    St James’s Church. Browse the Christmas Market from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
