Howlers Winter/Spring Season 2008 (+ new venue!)

Comedy for 2008 in Cheltenham Spa

Explore Gloucestershire are about to enter into their second year as principle sponsors of Howlers Comedy Club and what a year it’s been. Back in February 2007, Howlers arrived on the scene promising to bring the same acts you would see at world renowned venues such as the Comedy Store and Jongleurs. They've certainly remained true to their promise and this year have scheduled even bigger plans for Cheltenham’s comedy fans.

Now with two venues

Howlers Comedy Club returns for its second year with not one, but two top quality nights of stand-up.

Firstly, Howlers At The Venue returns to the Wheatsheaf in Cheltenham on February 9 for more Saturday night shenanigans. In addition to the Wheatsheaf, Howlers have a brand new show that they will be running from the Town Hall Pillar Rooms - Howlers at the Hall.

Those comedy fans who remember 'Pillar Talk' will recall what a great venue for club comedy the Pillar Rooms were and Howlers promise to bring club comedy back to the Town Hall in a big way.

Promoter Paul says, "Howlers At The Hall will be a unique show in that we are bringing two headline acts together plus a top compere - we're really excited about the quality of acts we have booked and it promises to be a cracking gig."

Howlers At The Venue will remain as Cheltenham's only Saturday night show which is now synonymous with great comedy, great music and a late bar. Howlers At The Venue promises to be bigger and better this year with some top names already in the Howlers diary.

Promoter Becky says, "We are so pleased with what we've achieved in our first year and if people keep supporting the idea then we can continue to bring you the very best stand-up comedy experience".

Howlers at the Venue returns on Saturday 9 Feb with Daliso Chaponda, John Newton plus support.

Howlers at the Hall kicks off on Wednesday 27 Feb with Canadian Craig Campbell, Jo Caulfield and John Robins as MC.
