New date for Cheltenham’s first ever drive-in fireworks display

The recently introduced lockdown regulations have forced Gloucestershire’s first drive-in firework event to be rescheduled.
The new event designed to enable families to get their fireworks fix will now take place, regulations permitting, on Saturday 19th December at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Ticket holders will enjoy a pyrotechnic extravaganza from the safety and comfort of their own car and a socially distanced space around it.
A selection of food and drink providers will be on hand to serve up a hearty, warming menu to complete the traditional bonfire night experience.
South west-based Celebration Pyrotechnics, who have an office in Chipping Camden, are organising the event. They have 30 years’ experience of producing spectacular firework events and are planning a display of epic proportions to wow the crowd at their first event at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Tom Bricknell from Celebration Pyrotechnics said:
“We are pleased that our drive-in format will allow us to stage an awe-inspiring, professional display for firework loving families in the area to enjoy.
“The feedback from those who attended the drive-in firework event we held in Cornwall on Sunday was incredible. Those who attended were delighted to share a rare family night out and were literally blown away by the scale of the display.
“It will be by far and away the biggest display that we will have fired in the Cotswolds and we are excited to be working at Cheltenham Racecourse for the first time.”
The spacious venue, with its rolling topography, provides the perfect place for everyone to enjoy a good view of the planned aerial spectacle at a safe distance.
Tickets, which are limited in number, are on sale online with options for those wishing to secure the best vantage point to catch the action, with additional fast-track entry and priority exit benefits.
Existing ticket holders who cannot make the rescheduled date are asked to contact the organiser.
