Gloucestershire entertainment venue launches Egg'citing countrywide trail

Mother Goose at The Everyman Theatre Cheltenham

Join the Quest for Gold: The Everyman Theatre presents 'The Great Gloucestershire Golden Egg Hunt' - Mother Goose

Drumroll please for the region’s newest and most egg-citing charitable initiative and the Great Gloucestershire Golden Egg Hunt!

The Everyman Theatre has unveiled a brand-new countywide egg trail, that will see this year’s pantomime leap off the stage and land in various locations across Gloucestershire. From Monday 30th October, ten giant golden eggs will be located at a range of iconic venues across the county, in celebration of the theatre’s 2023 pantomime, Mother Goose. Families will be encouraged to hunt down the objects for the chance to win tickets to the show.

The popular locations will host the gleaming golden eggs throughout November, with people being asked to share their photographs on social media, to be in with a chance to win one of 10 family tickets to see Mother Goose, which stars Gloucestershire favourite Tweedy in the titular role. There is one family ticket available for each egg hunt location.

Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester, and Allsorts in the centre of Stroud, for whom Tweedy is charity patron and ambassador respectively, are this year’s recipients of all the charitable donations generated by the pantomime. Both organisations are dedicated to providing everyday fun activities and support to young children and their families who are experiencing challenging circumstances or require additional support.

There are plenty of opportunities to discover the eggs from Tewkesbury to Cinderford and Stroud to Bourton-on-the-Water, and the more eggs you snap, the greater your chance of winning a family ticket for up to 5 people to see Tweedy in Mother Goose in Cheltenham!

Rachael Fletcher, Allsorts Fundraising Manager told us;
“What a fabulous idea, a Golden Egg Hunt, with the added bonus of being in with a chance of winning tickets to see Allsorts favourite clown, Tweedy in Mother Goose!.

We are so proud to have been chosen, along with Home-Start as the beneficiaries of the charitable donations generated by the pantomime this year. These funds are invaluable to us, as they will help support our programme of activities for disabled children and their families throughout Gloucestershire.

Thank you so much to The Everyman Cheltenham, and Tweedy for your support, we look forward to seeing everyone’s egg-citing photos!.”

So, crack on and find the 10 eggs, they are super eye - catching and can be found along the trail at:

2.     Dunkerton’s Cider in Cheltenham
