Guiting Music Festival 2025 Unveils Star-Studded Line-Up

Cotswolds’ Guiting Music Festival Announces 2025 Artists

The Guiting Music Festival 2025 returns to the idyllic village of Guiting Power, near Stow-on-the-Wold, for its 54th year, promising an extraordinary celebration of classical, jazz, blues, folk, and Latin music. Running from 25 July to 3 August, this much-loved event brings a stellar array of world-renowned artists to the heart of the Cotswolds.

Folk-rock legends Steeleye Span will open the festival on Friday 25 July, treating audiences to a mix of new arrangements, timeless favourites, and greatest hits.

The following evening, Gary Williams will dazzle with his  The Legends of Las Vegas show, featuring iconic hits from Burt Bacharach, Elvis Presley, Frankie Valli, Matt Monro, Nat ‘King’ Cole, and a special salute to the Rat Pack.   Expect pitch perfect renditions of well known songs such as … "Mack the Knife”, “Come Fly With Me”, “That’s Amore”, “Beyond the Sea”, “Mr Bojangles”

The popular Open-Air Jazz Day on Sunday 27 July sees the Dominic Alldis Trio open the day with jazz classics, while the internationally acclaimed Ronnie Scott’s All Stars headline with their celebrated quintet.

For Latin music lovers, Robert Pla and his Latin Ensemble will ignite the stage on Monday 28 July with infectious Afro-Cuban and South American rhythms performed by a 12-piece powerhouse of musicians.

The classical programme begins on Tuesday 29 July with Trio Meister Raro, performing works by Debussy, Schumann, and Mozart.

On Wednesday 30 July, celebrated violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen & Friends return with Brahms’ Piano Trio No.1 and Schubert’s much-loved Trout Quintet.

Thursday 31 July welcomes Piano Four Hands, featuring Simon Callaghan and Hiroaki Takenouchi sharing the same piano, delivering enchanting pieces by Schubert, Mozart, and Barber.

The classical series concludes on Friday 1 August with The Montenegrin Guitar Duo, presenting a spellbinding performance of works by Bach, Manuel de Falla, Domeniconi, and Piazzolla.

Festival excitement reaches a high on Saturday 2 August with Britain’s Queen of Soul-Gospel, Ruby Turner, bringing her sensational vocals to the stage. A regular with Jools Holland, Ruby’s powerful performance is set to be a highlight.

The festival finale, Open-Air Blues Day, takes place on Sunday 3 August. British blues sensation Mississippi MacDonald and guest vocalist RaRa kick off the day, leading into a headlining performance by The Cinelli Brothers, crowned 2024 UK Blues Band of The Year.

Alongside the incredible music, visitors can enjoy a marquee bar serving wine, beer, and soft drinks, plus a selection of seasonal food. Sundays are perfect for families, with guests encouraged to bring chairs, gazebos, and picnics. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too.
