This summer, Berkeley Castle invites visitors to enjoy an unforgettable day out, filled with medieval marvels, historical intrigue, and family-friendly entertainment.

Nestled within the Severn Vale in Gloucestershire, the castle opens its doors Sunday to Wednesday, offering events, tours, a play area, and beautifully maintained gardens—the perfect setting for days out in Gloucestershire.

The gardens at Berkeley Castle are a tranquil retreat, with terraces designed by Gertrude Jekyll and renowned for their fragrant roses, especially in June. Visitors can also discover the historic Lily Pond, once a swimming pool, and admire the sweeping lawns where two rare Culloden Pines stand—grown from cones said to have been brought back by the 4th Earl of Berkeley after the Battle of Culloden.
