Local Artists Bring the Forest of Dean to Life with New Gift Range

Inspired by the Forest – Local Art Supporting Artists, Shops and the Dean Heritage Centre
The Dean Heritage Centre’s Inspired by the Forest project is bringing local art to life through a beautiful new collection of gifts, celebrating the rich woodland heritage of the Forest of Dean. Created in collaboration with local artists, the project turns original artworks into popular products such as mugs and notebooks, designed to appeal to both locals and visitors.
The first products, including a charming Forest Animal mug and an elegant bluebell notebook, were chosen by a public panel. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 85% of voters saying they would purchase the mug as a gift, and over 90% expressing interest in buying the notebook either for themselves or as a present.
All profits from Inspired by the Forest are reinvested back into supporting the local artists, the Dean Heritage Centre, and the independent shops who stock these unique items. Funded by the Association of Independent Museums, the project is now seeking additional retailers to help grow the collection and share the story of the Forest of Dean through art-inspired gifts.
More products and artists will be introduced over time, making Inspired by the Forest a growing celebration of local creativity and woodland heritage.
