Robin Hood Panto Welcomes Back Cheltenham Favourites for 2025

Robin Hood and His Merry Men at The Everyman Cheltenham

Everyman Theatre Announces the Return of Three Panto Favourites for 2025

The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, has confirmed the first three performers for its 2025/26 pantomime spectacular, Robin Hood and His Merry Men. The show opens on Friday 28 November 2025 and runs until Sunday 11 January 2026, with three much-loved stars returning to delight audiences once again.

Gloucestershire’s favourite clown, Tweedy, will reprise his role as Friar ‘Tweedy’ Tuck, bringing trademark chaos, comedy, and charm. Fresh from touring with Gifford’s Circus’ 25th anniversary show and performing at the Edinburgh Fringe, Tweedy will return to his pantomime home for more slapstick and silliness.

Tweedy said, “Despite not being able to sing, dance or remember my lines, as well as consistently breaking props, adlibbing, and causing mayhem, the Everyman is letting me come back for Christmas!! Of course, there are a few twists to the classic story of Robin Hood, including a couple that the audience might not be expecting!”

Also returning is Everyman favourite Kevin Brewis, who will once again step into the outrageous frocks of Dame Nursie. Known for razor-sharp wit, dazzling costumes and quick-fire comedy, Kevin has previously starred in Cheltenham pantos including Aladdin (2024), Dick Whittington (2022), and Jack and the Beanstalk (2021). His wider credits include Hello, Dolly! in the West End alongside Imelda Staunton.

Completing the trio is Kane Verrall, who delighted audiences as the Spirit of the Unicorn in Jack and the Beanstalk. This year, Kane takes on the role of Will Scarlett, one of Robin Hood’s most loyal companions. With credits spanning Cats, Dirty Dancing, and The Sound of Music, Kane promises to bring energy and charisma to the Merry Men.

The trio will be joined by a full company of singers, dancers and actors, with further casting to be revealed. The award-nominated creative team behind last year’s Aladdin – including Ryan Dawson Laight (Best Costume Design), Ben Harrison (Best Sound Design), and Andrew Exeter (Best Set Design) – return to bring Sherwood Forest to life.

Once again, the pantomime will be written and directed by Sam Holmes and Nick Winston, who have helmed the Everyman’s festive productions since 2019.

Sam Holmes said, “It’s a joy to be back writing another Everyman pantomime, especially with so many familiar faces returning to the cast. We’re giving Robin Hood a special Everyman twist with comedy, spectacles, and a few cheeky plot twists. The chemistry between Tweedy, Kevin, and Kane is infectious, so we can’t wait for Gloucestershire audiences to join us on this brand-new adventure.”

Tickets are now on sale and in high demand for what promises to be Gloucestershire’s biggest Christmas tradition.

Book now to secure seats for Robin Hood and His Merry Men and prepare for a hilarious adventure full of festive fun.
