Groups invited to Sudeley Castle in 2026

Groups at Sudeley Castle

Groups can discover 1,000 years of royalty, romance, ruin and revival at Sudeley Castle & Gardens in 2026

Groups are invited to Sudeley Castle & Gardens in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, to discover more about its fascinating 1,000-year history, with expert guided tours, discounted admission and special benefits available for groups of 15 or more.

Visitors can explore 10 magnificent award-winning gardens, including the romantic Tithe Barn Garden, set beside a koi carp pond with spectacular views of the castle and the atmospheric ruins of the old barn.

Guided options include a 90-minute Garden Tour or Historic Grounds Tour, starting from £12.50 per person plus admission. The Historic Grounds Tour includes St Mary’s Chapel, the final resting place of Tudor Queen Katherine Parr, sixth wife of Henry VIII.

The Ruins to Revival outdoor exhibition, launched in 2025, tells the dramatic story of Sudeley from 1646 to 1900 through watercolours, illustrations, ruins, a short Civil War film and historic artefacts.

Inside the castle, visitors can explore rooms filled with rare treasures, famous paintings and historic objects, including works by Turner, van Dyke and The Allegory of the Tudor Succession, commissioned by Elizabeth I in 1585.

Groups can also book a seated History of Sudeley Talk, enjoy lunch or afternoon tea with exclusive use of the Orangery, or arrange a Behind-the-Scenes Tour for a closer look at the private family rooms usually closed to the public.

Group booking benefits include discounted admission, free parking, a free visit for the group leader or driver, coach driver café voucher, specialist menus, guided tours in English, French, Italian and German, free carer admission and wheelchair-friendly pathways.
