Gnome for the Holiday Family Summer Trail in the Cotswolds
Families can enjoy a magical summer adventure at Painswick Rococo Garden as Gnome for the Holiday returns from Saturday 18 July until Monday 31 August 2026.
Join Gnome Bert and his friends for an enchanting family trail through one of Gloucestershire's most beautiful gardens. Inspired by the return of garden gnomes to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Rolly the Rococo Gnome is planning a spectacular tea party – but first he needs your help finding all of his missing gnome friends.
As families explore the garden, they'll discover hidden gnomes, complete interactive games and fun challenges, enjoy drawing activities and uncover what each character is bringing to the celebration.
More than just a trail
There's plenty more to discover during your visit, including the Garden's famous winding maze, hidden follies, beautiful summer planting and the rustic play area, making it an ideal family day out throughout the school holidays.
Parents can relax in the Garden Café with delicious locally sourced food, browse the gift shop or visit the Exedra Nursery while children continue their adventure.

Every child completing the trail will receive a special treat, while visitors can also enjoy free parking and well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome throughout the Garden.
The Gnome for the Holiday Family Summer Trail runs daily from 18 July until 31 August 2026 during normal Garden opening hours.
