Paranormal Activity Comes to Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre
Prepare for a spine-chilling night at the theatre as supernatural West End hit Paranormal Activity comes to the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this October
Inspired by the hugely successful Paranormal Activity film franchise, the terrifying new stage production will play at the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham from Tue 13 – Sat 17 Oct 2026 as part of its first UK and Ireland tour.
Following an extended West End run, the production stars James Bye, best known as Martin Fowler in BBC One’s EastEnders, alongside Hannah Sinclair Robinson, Jo Castleton and Caroline Faber.
James Bye Stars in Paranormal Activity
James Bye takes the role of James, following stage appearances including the UK tour of 2:22 A Ghost Story, while Hannah Sinclair Robinson plays Lou, with previous credits including The Play That Goes Wrong in the West End and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
Jo Castleton, whose credits include War Horse at the National Theatre and on tour, plays Etheline Cotgrave, with Caroline Faber, whose previous work includes Network and The Heiress at the National Theatre, appearing as Carolanne.
A Terrifying New Story Live on Stage
Paranormal Activity features a brand-new story inspired by the iconic horror film series rather than recreating the original movie on stage.
James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape their past, but they soon discover that places aren’t haunted, people are...
The production is directed by immersive theatre pioneer and Punchdrunk Founder and Artistic Director Felix Barrett and written by acclaimed playwright Levi Holloway, whose theatrical thriller Grey House played on Broadway.
Blurring the line between cinema and live theatre, the production combines psychological tension, illusions, innovative staging and chilling soundscapes to bring the supernatural frighteningly close to its audience.
From the West End to Cheltenham
The stage adaptation was originally developed at Leeds Playhouse before transferring to London’s Ambassadors Theatre, where its success led to an extended West End run.
Its first UK and Ireland tour begins in September 2026, with Cheltenham among the venues welcoming the production this autumn.
