The Times Cheltenham Science Festival: Ticket sales off to an explosive start!

The Cheltenham Science Festival programme is proving to be a huge hit - with over 2,000 tickets sold on the first day of members' booking alone.
Guest Directors Brian Cox and Heston Blumenthal are leading the way with impressive first day sales for all their events. Just some of the treats to look out for in this year's decadent programme include:
- Truly innovative thinker Paul Davies tackles the big questions, asking: Are we alone in the universe?
- Award-winning writer Bill Bryson takes a look at the rich history of the Royal Society
- Presenter Tony Robinson discloses the secrets of new Channel 4 series Blitz Street
- Festival favourite Alice Roberts returns to explore Coast
- Robin Ince and Guest Director Brian Cox record a very special edition of The Infinite Monkey Cage to be broadcast on BBC Radio 4
