Now firmly marked in the Gloucester events calendar, the annual Café René Rhythm & Blues Festival is a week of live entertainment and includes top R&B's bands from the UK, Europe and as far afield as Australia!
Bands in the past have included the likes of 'The Larry Miller Band', 'Mike Sanches', 'Willie & The Bandits', 'Will Killeen', 'The Keith Thompson Band', 'The Ragtime Jug Orchestra' and 'Profoundly Blue' to name but just a few.
Bands perform throughout the week but the grand finale at the weekend not only consists of non-stop live musical entertainment, both inside Café René and outside in Greyfriars, but a real treat is in store for young and old.
A Real Ale & Cider Festival with many local beers flowing from the barrels complements the brilliant music, and with pig roasts, the famous 'Rene BBQ', face painting for children (and big children) as well as ghost walks makes for a fantastic weekend of music and fun, fun, fun!
