Primrose Vale Farm Shop & PYO

Nestled on the edge of the Cotswold scarp between Cheltenham and Gloucester you will find Primrose Vale Farm Shop & PYO. Their speciality is growing super fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables picked daily from their own fields. So whether you prefer robust winter roots, brassicas packed with nutrients, your quintessential soft summer fruits or the first cut of asparagus, there’s plenty grown at Primrose Vale to suit everyone’s tastes.

Local produce is also very much a key part of the business, thus keeping food miles to a minimum as well as supporting other farmers and food producers. A visit to the shop will reassure you that this is very much the case as you will quickly realise their philosophy is to source from Gloucestershire and it’s surrounding counties whenever possible.

Primrose Vale - Pick-Your-Own

The PYO fields at our farm are open from late May to October, offering around fifteen different crops for picking.

Among our most popular are the table-top strawberries, grown on raised platforms for easy picking without any slugs, bugs, or mud!

Additionally, visitors can enjoy a variety of fruits including raspberries, gooseberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, loganberries, tayberries, and whitecurrants.

In the autumn, plums, apples, pears, and plenty of pumpkins for Halloween are available. Occasionally, depending on the year, we also have vegetables on offer.

Primorse Vale - Farm Shop

In addition to fruits, vegetables, and fresh produce from specialised growers and suppliers, Primorse Vale offer a selection of other delicious items:

  • Handmade bread, cakes, and baked goods from small bakeries in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties, delivered fresh daily.
  • Local cheeses from the delicious cheese counter, sourced directly from small artisan producers. Enjoy varieties like Charles Martell's Stinking Bishop, Godsells Three Virgins, and Mrs. Smart's authentic Double Gloucester, famous for the annual cheese rolling event at Coopers Hill.
  • Quiches and pies crafted by the Outdoor Pig Company.

Primorse Vale also provide the option for fresh food and produce available for collection, with order sheets available for bespoke orders.
