About The Inn at Fossebridge

The Inn at Fossebridge in The Coln Valley is a charming Georgian, Cotswold country retreat, with wonderful accommodation, extensive grounds and fine food.

A splendid country pub hotel, superbly cosy in winter but also with pretty extensive gardens for the summer, located 6 miles north of Cirencester in a dip on The Fosse Way.

The Inn at Fossebridge is the perfect haven for a short break, lazy lunch or a romantic dinner.

The Inn at Fossebridge is immersed in 300 years of history… as a coaching inn on the Fosseway and as a hostelry named after wealthy landowner Lord Chedworth.

Indeed the Inn had opened by 1759 and was then known at Lord Chedworth’s Arms, a name recalled in the wonderful old bar that still exists today; the name was changed to The Fossebridge Inn in the early 19th century.

The Inn at Fossebridge is today a beautiful quintessential Cotswold retreat, with wonderful accommodation, extensive grounds and fine food. The Inn is within an hour’s drive from Stratford-upon-Avon & Bath. Cheltenham and Cirencester, the delightful capital of the Cotswolds, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are all close by.

You will also find many pretty hamlets and villages on the doorstep which seem to look today as they did a few centuries ago.

The Inn at Fossebridge is situated in a dip on the A429 (Fosse Way), 6 miles north of Cirencester at Fossebridge, between the Gloucestershire towns of Cirencester and Northleach.

The Inn at Fossebridge bar is OPEN EVERY DAY from 12 noon.
