Step back in time this summer and witness the ancient art of falconry at Sudeley Castle. On select dates throughout July and August, the team from Walks with Hawks will return to the historic grounds, offering a breath-taking display of birds of prey in flight.
Visitors can enjoy close encounters with a magnificent variety of birds—from majestic eagles to charming owls. Throughout the day, guests will have the rare opportunity to experience birds flying directly to their gloved hands, making for unforgettable memories and unique photo opportunities.
The highlight of each falconry day is a captivating display at 12:30pm, where expert falconers, dressed in Tudor attire, bring history to life. As part of the experience, visitors will discover fascinating insights into Tudor falconry, including stories of Henry VIII's visit to Sudeley Castle with Anne Boleyn, whose badge famously included a crowned white falcon.
Children and adults alike will be enchanted by the individual personalities and acrobatic skills of these awe-inspiring birds, and there will be opportunities to meet the birds and their handlers throughout the day.
