Cadet Academy at JDR Karting Club

Cadet Academy is a popular coaching session held at JDR Karting & Activity Centre, designed for younger racers, novices, and complete beginners who want to learn how to go kart on a professional circuit.
Using NEW Cadet Go Karts, participants are given the opportunity to improve technique, build confidence, and develop safe racing skills while working towards smoother driving and quicker lap times.
Drivers are split into two groups, with experienced tutors allocated to each group. Coaching is supportive and practical, ensuring every participant learns at their own pace in a safe and controlled environment.
During the session, drivers are taught essential karting skills including correct pedal use, steering control, kart handling, cornering technique, appropriate circuit speed, understanding track lights and signals, and developing personal race craft while learning the racing line.
