Three Choirs Festival at Gloucester Cathedral

Experience eight days of world-class choral music as the Three Choirs Festival returns to Gloucester from Saturday 25 July to Saturday 1 August 2026.
Centred around the magnificent surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral, the festival brings together its own acclaimed choirs, internationally recognised soloists and the world-renowned Philharmonia Orchestra. The varied programme includes spectacular evening concerts, relaxed late-night performances and intimate daytime recitals.
Highlights of the 2026 programme include Mozart’s Requiem, Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius and performances by VOCES8, Roderick Williams and the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. The Cathedral Choirs of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester will also join forces for Choral Evensong services throughout the week, including a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
There is also plenty to enjoy without purchasing a concert ticket. Visitors can drop into open cathedral rehearsals, meet friends for a drink at the Festival Bar, discover local performers on the Festival Bandstand and browse work by talented designers and makers in the Festival Marquee.
With inspiring performances, historic surroundings and a welcoming festival atmosphere, the Three Choirs Festival 2026 promises an unforgettable celebration of live music in the heart of Gloucester.
