Annual 'Bibury Boxing Day Duck Race' and BBQ at Bibury Trout Farm

The Bibury Duck Race returns this Boxing Day, organised by Bibury Cricket Club, and promises another brilliant village spectacle in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Each year, thousands of bright yellow ducks race along The River Coln, creating one of the Cotswolds’ most charming festive traditions. Spectators are invited to gather by the water, cheer on the ducks and help raise vital funds for local cricket and good causes.
For 2025, the event features three exciting races:
• Sponsors Race – 30 ducks at £100 each. The winning business becomes the shirt sponsor for Bibury Cricket Club’s T20 matches next season.
• Charity Race – Ducks at £10 each, with the winner choosing which charity receives the funds raised.
• Main Race – 3,000 yellow ducks at £2 each. The top 20 finishers will win prizes donated by generous local supporters.
All proceeds support Bibury Cricket Club, helping to keep village cricket thriving, fund junior teams and maintain the ground for the wider community.
Visitors are encouraged to wrap up warm, bring friends and family, and enjoy one of the Cotswolds’ most-loved Boxing Day traditions.
