The Festive Forest at Clearwell Caves

Step into Clearwell Caves this Christmas and experience The Festive Forest, a magical underground world where woodland creatures prepare for Christmas in their own enchanting way.
Visitors can:
• Meet Father Christmas and receive a small pre-Christmas gift from his cheerful helpers.
• Wander through the illuminated caverns, discovering how the woodland animals get ready for the big day.
• Enjoy festive refreshments 100ft underground at the special Underground Café, serving hot drinks and delicious cakes.
• Browse the Christmas shop for decorations and stocking fillers before heading above ground to the Lamproom Café for drinks, cakes, and light snacks.
27 – 31 December
After Boxing Day, from 27–31 December, the caves reopen for visitors to continue enjoying the Festive Forest displays. Although Father Christmas, the gifts, and the underground café will have gone, the magical woodland scenes remain for a few more days of seasonal wonder. The Lamproom Café above ground will still be open, offering a cosy spot beside the real fire with hot drinks and tempting cakes.
