One of the Cotswold’s largest visitor attractions will offer local people discounted entry for 5 days later this month to mark English Tourism Week.
From Monday 31st March to Friday 4th April inclusive, anyone with a GL56 postcode can enjoy 10% off the standard entry price for the 56 acre arboretum, on production of a utility bill or other proof of their address.
English Tourism Week is a week-long celebration showcasing the quality and vibrancy of this country’s visitor experiences.   Organised by Visit England, it will also raise awareness about the importance of tourism to the visitor economy.
PR and Marketing Manager Susie Hunt says it’s great for Batsford to get involved in such a positive and high profile campaign – particularly after a year of challenging weather.  ‘Now more than ever it’s vital for people to support local attractions, and we hope they’ll take advantage of our special offer and either visit Batsford for the first time – or revisit us during this special week’.
Mrs Hunt says thousands of people visit Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre to enjoy year round walks in the 56 acre arboretum, as well as great food, shopping and a quality plant centre and garden shop.   ‘This is a wonderful time of year to visit the arboretum – which should be home to a host of daffodils and the start of blossom time from the magnolias and Japanese flowering cherries’.  ‘We hope our special offer will encourage even more local people to treat themselves to a day out at Batsford, and help spread the word about what a wonderful place they have on their doorsteps.’
