A host of highlights in store for visitors to Birdland in 2023

Birdland in the Cotswolds

Birdland Park & Gardens, which is home to one of the largest collections of exotic birds in the UK, will stage a series of special events to showcase its beautiful feathered friends this year.

Penguins, parrots, cassowaries and cranes are just some of the fantastic birds which will take centre stage at the park, which is in the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water, in Gloucestershire.

Starting next month during February half term (11th-26th), there will be a chance to become a Twitcher, using a spotter trail to navigate the park and find clues to uncover a secret code.

Feathered mums will be celebrated in March to mark Mother’s Day, before April will see some cracking Easter fun including egg-themed talks and shows, a quiz trail and possibly some egg-stra special arrivals at the park.

The events come thick and fast in the spring and summer months too, including a Dinosaur Weekend, Penguin Celebration and Birds Behaving Badly.

October Half Term will also feature ‘Myths & Legends’ themed talks from the keepers – discover why owls are considered to be so wise; where the legend of the phoenix came from; and find out which bird call the Romans believed to mean imminent death!

Birdland Park & Gardens opens at 10am every day.
Adults are £11.95, children £8.95.
