Youngest winner of Cotswold Wildlife Park’s dog show

Cotswold Wildlife Park is delighted to announce the youngest winner to ever scoop the coveted Best in Show prize in its annual charity dog show Scruffs in aid of Dogs for the Disabled. Campbell Hanley from Wooton Basset, along with his Schnauzer Radley (pictured above), won the young handler class and impressed the judges so much, he walked away with the Best in Show title.
Ten year old Campbell said: “We are delighted to win. This was my first dog show. The Schnauzer breed is a great family pet. Thank you!” Campbell also won the chance to adopt his favourite animal as part of the Park’s Animal Adoption Scheme*. He chose to adopt a Mandarin Duck.
Dogs for the Disabled attended the event with puppy-in-training Rubix and assistance dog Caddie. Caddie is Joel’s assistance dog. These specially trained dogs can offer freedom and independence to children and adults with physical disabilities and children with autism. The event raised just over £200 for the Banbury based charity. They receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations, fundraising and volunteers to continue their pioneering work.
