Boutique Dynamic Reformer Pilates Brand, 'The Studio Cheltenham' Launches at The Brewery Quarter

Cheltenham’s fitness scene is getting a modern upgrade with The Studio Cheltenham, a boutique, strength-focused dynamic reformer Pilates studio opening on 7 February at The Brewery Quarter.

Reformer Pilates has become a go-to workout for those seeking strong, sculpted results without high impact, favoured by athletes, creatives and wellness-conscious professionals alike. Known for improving core strength, posture and mobility, reformer training delivers intelligent, full-body conditioning that fits seamlessly into busy, modern lifestyles.

Designed as an inclusive space where the passion for movement inspires all levels. It’s a space elevated by state-of-the-art equipment and effortlessly stylish, The Studio Cheltenham features a light-filled interior with natural wood detailing, a calming escape from the outside world, that allows you to move in a way that feels best for you.

Founded by Cheltenham entrepreneur and former Team GB badminton player Fontaine Wright, The Studio Cheltenham brings performance-led training into welcoming setting. Classes are dynamic, inclusive and enjoyable, attracting everyone from first-time reformer clients to experienced movers looking to build strength, control and confidence.

“Reformer Pilates is becoming increasingly popular - but after completing a 12-week training course in 2018, I knew it was more than a trend,” said Fontaine. “It’s about moving with intention, building real strength and most importantly feeling good in your mind and body. Sharing my love of movement with my professional sporting experiences and knowledge in high performance training, I wanted to create somewhere that was full of energy, motivating and accessible to all levels of fitness, without it being intimidating.”

The Studio Cheltenham is led by Fontaine who has a team of five highly trained instructors, offering two signature class styles: Strength & Dynamic Reformer - a progressive blend of dynamic reformer and weighted resistance for a full body strength session, and Dynamic Reformer - a full-body flow that combines the principles of Pilates with strength and conditioning training. Both classes allow clients to experience a core centred conditioning class that helps increase mobility, control and confidence.

Founded in October 2024 by Fontaine and partner Harry, The Studio Cheltenham is proudly independent and rooted in the local community, while delivering a studio experience inspired by leading boutique fitness destinations around the world that Fontaine has trained at.

Nikki Kontarines, Director of Martin Commercial Properties, managing agents of The Brewery Quarter, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome The Studio Cheltenham to The Brewery Quarter. It’s a great addition to our wellbeing and leisure offer and brings a contemporary, design-led approach to fitness that will resonate strongly with today’s wellness-focused audience.”
